2 . DE. New Orleans Saints. Trey Hendrickson . player. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. 15

The Bills defense has been their calling card since the new regime took over in 2017. Names like Jerry Hughes and Lorenzo Alexander were key pass rushers to help the team end their playoff-drought.

It’s time to add more in the pass-rushing department, which finished 15th (38) in sacks on the year. Trent Murphy has done nothing to help while Mario Addison and Hughes will be in the mid 30’s next season. The team drafted AJ Epenesa, but they’ll need a running mate opposite of his for the future.

Trey Hendrickson might have earned the most money of any player this offseason. Thanks to injures on Marcus Davenport, the former third-round pick became a full-time starter and key pass rusher for the New Orleans Saints’ defense. He finished the year tied for second in sacks with 13.5 and proved he can achieve greatness against the run.

The Bills will need to free up some cap space, but they could make a play at Hendrickson. His revival status won’t be enough to earn a lucrative deal, so he’ll likely want to go to a contender. Should the price range meet the needs, Beane should make the call.
