Bradley Beal is displaying James Harden levels of bad body language (Video)

Bradley Beal looked fed up in the first half of Sunday’s game against the Brooklyn Nets.

Things have not been going swimmingly for the Washington Wizards this season. Not only did they have to deal with injuries, but they also had a plethora of players placed in the NBA’s COVID-19 protocol. Despite all of that, the Wizards still had star Bradley Beal playing at an elite level. But even that wasn’t enough, as the team held a 3-12 record on the season.

During the first half Sunday’s game against the Brooklyn Nets, fans noticed Beal didn’t look engaged and at points showed signs of frustration. Thankfully, it didn’t last long.

Bradley Beal showed up on the second half

In the much-talked about first half, Beal only managed to tally 11 points. But the narrative of Beal being frustrated and disinterested quickly evaporated after halftime. If we were to describe Beal’s second half, we’d say it was as though he was playing video games and leaned forward in his seat. He was focused and determined to win.

The Wizards bounced back from a 71-65 deficit in the third quarter to make things interesting. Kyrie Irving would hit two free throws to give Brooklyn a 146-141 lead with 12 seconds remaining in regulation. Beal then drained a 3-point shot four seconds later to pull them within 146-144. Then, Russell Westbrook hit a 3-pointer of his own shortly after Washington got a steal to give the Wizards a lead they’d never relinquish, pulling out the 149-146 victory.

In 38 minutes of playing time, Beal scored 37 points, grabbed 5 rebounds and dished out 4 assists, while shooting 13-of-23 from the field and 2-of-5 from the behind the arc.

So yeah, you can throw Bradley Beal’s first half out the window, because he showed out in the second half to give the Wizards their fourth win of the season, and even better, they did so against the Nets powerhouse. It’s something to keep an eye on as the losses stack up for the Wizards, but for now, winning cures all.
