Pascal Siakam absolutely obliterated Aaron Gordon in their meeting at the rim.

The Toronto Raptors and Orlando Magic faced off on Sunday night with the Raptors looking to snap a three-game losing streak. It’s been an interesting year for Raptors fans so far as they find their team currently sitting at 10th in the Eastern Conference and last in the Atlantic Division. They had taken losses to the Pacers, Bucks, and Kings before finally righting the ship against the visiting Magic, who had just been blown out by the Los Angeles Clippers by 26 points on Friday evening.

Toronto was up by 14 points with just under seven and a half minutes to go in the third quarter when Pascal Siakam put in his unofficial bid for the Slam Dunk contest. After setting a pick for Kyle Lowry that didn’t garner many results, Siakam backdoor cut to the basket and got the perfect bounce pass from Lowry before hammering down a slam dunk over poor previously Slam Dunk Contest snubbed Aaron Gordon.

Pascal Siakam gave Aaron Gordon a little of his own medicine

Gordon was caught in no man’s land as he came over to help with the pick-and-roll action and got posterized by Siakam. ‘Spicy P’ had 30 points in the game, going 12-of-23 from the field and grabbing 10 rebounds. Gordon couldn’t even contest Siakam in the stat line, finishing the game with 14 points, five rebounds, and 3 assists. Though not the poorest of efforts, Gordon couldn’t do much after being posterized but quickly take the ball out of bounds.

Toronto would go on to win 115-102 over the Magic. We’ll see if anything from this win can get them back into the Eastern Conference mix. They’re back in action on Tuesday, Feb. 2 against the Magic again, this time in Orlando.
