1. Michael Gallup

The Packers are extremely top-heavy at receiver with Davante Adams leading the way. He led the team with 1,374 yards in only 14 games and was the only player to have more than 63 targets. Adams finished with 149.

Rodgers built a solid connection with Marquez Valdes-Scantling, and Allen Lazard had flashes of success as well. But the Packers should be on the phone calling the Dallas Cowboys about Michael Gallup.

Gallup had 843 yards and five touchdowns in 2020, which is more impressive than it looks considering the quarterback situation once Dak Prescott went down. Gallup was a 1,000-yard man in 2019 and is only a $1.1 million cap hit in 2021.

The price tag makes this an obvious decision, if the Cowboys would be willing to move on. That is a possibility considering Gallup is on the final year of his deal. If the team is going to pay Prescott and already see Amari Cooper and CeeDee Lamb as the top two receivers, Dallas can get value for Gallup instead of letting him walk in a year.

Rodgers would get a proven No. 2 target behind Adams, and Gallup could make himself a top name in next year’s free agent class. This move makes sense for both sides and allows the Packers to add a proven receiver instead of drafting a rookie as Rodgers’ time in town winds down.
