In October, Tampa Bay surprised everyone and signed the ever-so controversial Antonio Brown to a one-year deal. He and Brady have one of the strangest relationships in all of sports, but despite Bruce Arians saying the team wouldn’t go after Brown, things got done in mid-October.

While Brown has plenty to offer to a team, he wasn’t explosive for Tampa Bay in 2020. He didn’t even record a catch in the NFC Championship Game. With the Bucs paying him less than $1 million for the year too, it doesn’t look like they’ll be ready to throw top dollar for his return next season.

Brown can surely still make a difference for an offense, though. He has 45 receptions for 483 yards and four touchdowns to his name this campaign. With that being said, Tampa Bay is absolutely stacked at wide receiver, highlighted by the play of Mike Evans and Chris Godwin. Oh, and tight end Rob Gronkowski also said he wants to play next season, so it’d make sense for Tampa Bay to offer him a new deal to stay by Brady’s side.

Come this offseason, it will be on a new organization to decide whether or not they want to take a risk similar to the Bucs in signing Brown. After the way things went for him with the Steelers and Raiders, it’d make sense if teams stayed away. Because of that, this could be Brown’s lone shot to get his ring.
