Tom Brady has a chance to make some mind-blowing history with a Super Bowl victory Sunday.

There was a discussion back in 2020 about whether Tom Brady was truly the GOAT or if the system in New England boosted his career to such levels.

Cut to today and Brady is looking to lead the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to a Super Bowl title at the age of 43. He has not slowed down with age and a win Sunday over the Kansas City Chiefs would mean Brady makes some truly mind-blowing history.

Brady trying to improve his GOAT case

Brady won six Super Bowl titles with the New England Patriots. Both Terry Bradshaw and Joe Montana are tied for second with four Super Bowl wins apiece. Getting a seventh not only gives him more than any NFL team, but it is going to be hard for any quarterback to top this stat.

Then throw in the fact Brady would be a Super Bowl champion in both conferences. Most teams that win a Super Bowl hold onto their quarterback as long as possible. If they are let go, it means a replacement is sought or the quarterback retires.

Brady and the Patriots are a unique case because of their long relationship simply needing a reset. The quarterback had his pick of where he wanted to go and proceeded to roll through the NFC playoffs like he had done in the AFC for so long.

Next. Brady’s Super Bowl commercial should win a Golden Globe. dark

Winning one Super Bowl is hard enough. Just ask Aaron Rodgers and Drew Brees. Brady has taken the concept of greatness to a whole new level and winning one Sunday with the Bucs would erase any lingering thoughts of the Patriots propping him up. It was clearly the other way around.
