Washington Football Team. Ryan Kerrigan. player. 1.. 58. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. EDGE

Kansas City tallied 32 sacks during the regular season. Chris Jones led the way with 7.5 while Frank Clark had six. No one else had more than three. How long will that last before teams can drive downfield without the pressure?

Most of the names mentioned above will come at team-friendly deals. They’re all chess pieces that will combine to make a strategy so strong, it’ll be impossible for Kansas City to not remain in contention. However, a pass rush is key to any team’s ultimate success on defense.

Kerrigan will cost money, but he’s worth the deal for the right price.

In a rotational role for Washington, Kerrigan tallied 5.5 sacks, but also played only 50 percent of the snaps twice this year. The 32-year-old will likely leave D.C. as the all-time sack leader in franchise history and a standout pass rusher in a 3-4 system.

Could Kerrigan struggle after playing stand-up for the last eight seasons? Perhaps. His “LEO” type role though would allow him to work out wide and hold leverage against weaker offensive tackles. At this point in his career, a ring is all that’s missing from the legacy.

Jones, Clark and Kerrigan would all be worth a pretty penny, but they’d have a chance to be one of the scarier trios on a front-seven for the 2021 year.
