The Tampa Bay Buccaneers will have veteran defensive end Ndamukong Suh back next year as they attempt to defend their Super Bowl title.

Fresh off of their first Super Bowl win since 2002, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are already looking ahead to next season.

Tom Brady, who just won his seventh Super Bowl ring, has already announced that he’ll be back next season and could possibly play past the age of 45. Superstar wideout Mike Evans is on record as saying he’s willing to do whatever it takes to keep the Buccaneers band together for another Super Bowl run.

Now it looks like another Tampa Bay veteran sees the value in returning to the team next season. Pass rusher Ndamukong Suh has expressed his desire to play again in 2021.

Ndamukong Suh says he’s not ready to retire; returning to Buccaneers

Suh, a 5-time Pro Bowler, has been in the league for the past 10 years and has been known mostly as a defensive juggernaut when his style of play isn’t being discussed. He made six sacks last year and made two tackles and 1.5 sacks in Super Bowl LV.

“I look forward to the opportunity to continue to play, especially for Tampa,” Suh told Albert Breer of SI.com. “And I honestly believe I have a lot of elite, great talent left in me to play. I’m not ready to hang them up yet.”

Suh, 34, signed a one-year, $9.25 million with the Bucs in 2019 and a one-year, $8 million deal last season. The odds of him getting that type of money from the Bucs this year are slim, but he’ll likely be willing to sacrifice some cash to win another title.

It doesn’t seem like Suh plans on retiring any time soon. This has to be great news for Buccaneers fans as their title defense is starting to shape up quite nicely.
