SS Francisco Lindor

Let start things off with the player most likely to earn hundreds of millions of dollars, and that is shortstop Francisco Lindor.

Through his six years with the Cleveland Indians, Lindor showed the world that he is a superstar in the league. He has tremendous defense at shortstop, tremendous power in the batters box and speed on the base path. Not to mention that he has two Silver Sluggers, two Gold Gloves and four All-Star Game appearances on his resume.

With Lindor hitting the open market next winter, Cleveland decided they would rather trade him for some sort of return rather than let him walk to free agency for nothing. Last month, Cleveland traded Lindor to the New York Mets in exchange for four players.

The Mets are in the driver’s seat to try and sign him to a long-term deal. They missed out on the likes of outfielder George Springer and starting pitcher Trevor Bauer this offseason, meaning they money at their disposal. Whether it is with the Mets or another team, Lindor is virtually guaranteed to earn a $300 million deal within the next year.
