Mitchell Schwartz’s presence was badly missing along the Chiefs’ offensive line against the Buccaneers in Super Bowl LV.

Schwartz’s 2020 campaign was marred by injuries after a back injury forced him to miss playing time for the first time in his career, he was also added to the COVID-19/reserve list in November prior to landing on injured reserve on November, 22.

There is a legitimate chance, at age 31, has played his final game in a Chiefs uniform. Regardless of whether he returns or not in 2021, Kansas City must begin preparing for life without Schwartz.

Given the fact that Mahomes was running for his life in the Super Bowl, it wouldn’t be the least bit surprising if the Chiefs aim to address the offensive line both via free agency as well as during the NFL Draft, perhaps as early as their first-round pick.

Possible NFL Draft targets: Trey Smith (Tennessee), James Hudson (Cincinnati), Liam Eichenberg (Notre Dame), Christian Darrisaw (Virginia Tech)
