NFL veteran J.J. Watt has announced that he is signing with the Arizona Cardinals and the Twitter reactions have started to pour in.
Surprise, surprise. J.J. Watt has officially announced his landing spot and has signed a two-year contract with the Arizona Cardinals.
The 10-year veteran was released by the Houston Texans last month and trade rumors have been swirling ever since. The coveted pass rusher wanted to continue his career with a new team that would be able to not only pay him his worth but help him contend for a Super Bowl ring.
Earlier, we thought he may have announced his three free agency finalists via a Peloton bio, but now it seems that none of that matters. The star quickly shut that rumor down.

Twitter reacts to J.J. Watt signing with the Arizona Cardinals
This is a bombshell for sure. The Cardinals hadn’t been talked about very much in free agency rumors for the three-time Defensive Player of the Year but it seems like they were clearly getting work done behind the scenes.
The Cardinals have to be happy to have landed Watt and took to Twitter to announce the terms of their deal with him.
Welcome to the Valley, @JJWatt!

NFL media erupted after the news of this shocking deal broke.
Teams who were in the JJ Watt sweepstakes all knew he was signing this week knowing the money is going to start drying up with the start of free agency.

If the defensive line is the powerhouse of an #NFL cell, the @AZCardinals just added one heck of a mitochondria. https://t.co/wAxisAmJv0

New Cardinals DE @JJWatt will be reunited with defensive coordinator Vance Joseph, who was a defensive assistant in Houston in Watt’s first 3 NFL seasons.

Russell Wilson said he’s frustrated of getting hit too much. Adding JJ Watt to a division with Chandler Jones, Aaron Donald and Nick Bosa won’t help.

J.J. Watt will have a great pass rusher opposite of him in Chandler Jones. A good fit for him and Arizona.

And so now it's two former Texans, J.J. Watt and DeAndre Hopkins, playing in Arizona. https://t.co/juK7nodMYL

Watt joins his former Houston Texans teammate DeAndre Hopkins in Arizona. Does this move push the Cardinals into clear Super Bowl contention?
