NFL rumors: 3 teams that could sign Golden Tate this offseason
The Baltimore Ravens are a two-sided team. They lead the NFL in rushing last year thanks to the dual-threat work out of Lamar Jackson and rookie sensation JK Dobbins. Their receivers ranked dead last in receptions among all active teams.
Marquise Brown and Mark Andrews each tallied over 700 yards. The next highest player? Willie Snead with 432. That can’t be the case for any team that actually believes they are a Super Bowl contender in today’s day and age.
Eric DeCosta will likely be adding another name via the draft to help in the passing attack. That doesn’t mean Tate will not provide some type of value to Jackson. Still a decent route-runner in the slot, Tate can win against smaller cornerbacks and turn it up the field for decent gains. He’s an ideal target on third and short.
The Ravens must fix its receiving issues. According to reports, they aren’t interested in signing names like Kenny Golladay or Allen Robinson. Would they be interested in a veteran that likely would take a pay cut to help Jackson flourish?
