NFC North . . Green Bay Packers . 1. player. 49. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis

Would it be anyone else?

The Green Bay Packers have an MVP quarterback in Aaron Rodgers. Their defense was held back by Mike Pettine, but he’s out of the picture. So long as their run game doesn’t deteriorate in 2021, they’ll be the front-runners in the NFC along with likely Tampa Bay.

If Tate doesn’t join the G.O.A.T. down south, he should join the MVP up North.

There’s a respect factor between Rodgers and Tate as the two battled each other for five years on the gridiron in the same division. By the season’s end, Marques Valdes-Scantling was coming on as the vertical option and Allen Lazard improved as the team’s No.3.

That’s not to say the Packers should target another receiver, but they can ease up on spending top dollar on the open market.

Tate would fit in well as the shifty slot target for short passes. Consider him the quick slant and out route target. Rodgers would be winning all over the field with a plethora of weapons. Perhaps only seeing a handful of snaps, Tate’s role would be limited, but effective as well.

One player could make a difference for the Packers’ offense. Could it be Tate? At the right price, maybe.
