Was Anger Management filmed in New York City?
Adam Sandler plays a troubled but hopeful Dave Buznik. Dave is court-ordered to attend anger management classes to help him with his troubles after a rather big hiccup on an airline flight. His chosen therapist, Dr. Buddy Rydell (Jack Nicholson) is there to help him, but only after carious back-and-forth argument scenes.
The first meeting they have occurs at St. Bartholomew’s Church located at 325 Park Avenue and East 50th Street in Manhattan. There’s a scene where Dave meets his girlfriend Linda (Marisa Tomei) at ESPN Zone, which was located where H&M now stands—at the corner of 42nd Street and Broadway in Times Square. The scene where Dave and Buddy are having their in-car conversation takes place on the 59th Street Bridge a.k.a. the Queensboro Bridge.
There’s also another scene the lovely couple meets at that’s familiar to New Yorkers—the Fulton Ferry Pier in Brooklyn. Dave also is seen walking the steps of the recognizable New York County Supreme Court, located at 60 Centre Street.
Lastly, and this one will hit hard to a certain fan base, Dave and Buddy attend a Yankees game in which Dave proposes to Linda at the old Yankee Stadium. I guess he hit a home run when she said “Yes.”
