Big 12 Conference Tournament

  • Dates: March 10-13
  • Location: Kansas City, MO
  • Venue: T-Mobile Center
  • Top Seed: Baylor
  • Bracket

There is absolutely no bubble drama coming out of the Big 12 since their tournament teams are all locks. The Big 12 will send seven teams to the dance and none should finish lower than a No. 6 seed, which is crazy to begin with, and you can make the argument that all seven could reach the Sweet 16.

The top seed is Baylor, which got back on track in the last week of the season after a rusty return from a COVID pause. Wins over West Virginia, Oklahoma State and Texas Tech made it clear that the Bears are the team to beat in this event.

The team with the most to prove in Kansas City is Oklahoma, which has been skidding since a hot January, dropping four in a row to fall to the No. 7 seed. The Sooners will have to play on the first day of the tournament before getting a shot at Kansas.

The Jayhawks are playing well but they will not have their typical home-court feel in Kansas City with attendance limited due to the coronavirus pandemic. That should make the tournament feel more like a neutral site event, which will play right into Baylor’s hands.

Pick: Baylor
