Scouting Report. Mac Jones . 2. 829. Pick Analysis. QB. Alabama. player

As the 2021 NFL Draft rapidly approaches, teams are looking at the next signal-caller to lead their team to a title. Depending on how the draft board falls, Alabama’s Mac Jones could hear his name called as high as the top 10. It also could be as low as the late 20s.

Should it be the latter, New Orleans should consider moving up.

Jones’ overall production with the Crimson Tide has been under the microscope in evaluations. Was he a product of production or more so one based off a pure talent? Jones’ 4,500 passing yards and 41 touchdowns were ranked top-two on the season.

When looking at his film from the Senior Bowl, there’s no denying that he has upside as a franchise quarterback. If teams address other needs first, expect Jones’ stock to drop. Even if New Orleans has an option in place, that could be the bridge guy instead of replacement to the future Hall-of-Fame gunslinger.

Jones should be at the top of the Saints’ draft board. The question is, are they willing to move up and get him?
