Come next season, the Atlanta Falcons have announced they’ll play one of their regular-aeason games in London at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

While it’s been less than two months since the NFL campaign officially ended with Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers winning the Super Bowl, fans are counting down the days until next season arrives. And when the teams do hit the field, a trip overseas will be on hand for some.

That’s because on Thursday afternoon, the Atlanta Falcons announced that one of their games for 2021 will be played in London. The date and opponent for that showdown is yet to be determined.

The Atlanta Falcons will play one of their regular season games in London next season

If you’re an Atlanta supporter, this has to be welcome news. The London games have been incredibly fun over the years. Unfortunately, the NFL’s games set to be played in Europe last year were canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic. With cases lowering and vaccinations being administered across the world, the hope and expectation is that the Falcons will be able to head across the pond as planned.

While the date hasn’t been confirmed, Falcons fans can begin to start planning as the team announced in its press release that the showdown will take place at some point in October. Come that day, which will be finalized in May, Matt Ryan and Co. will look to give everyone on hand a day to remember.

Atlanta is coming off a rough 2020, where the NFC South squad went 4-12 and finished in dead last of the division standings. We’ll see what the team will be able to get done next fall, but we already know an exciting trip to England is on the way.
