2. Dre’Mont Jones will lead the team in sacks

Bradley Chubb and Von Miller are the two biggest names among the Broncos’ group of pass-rushers. Neither is going to lead the team in sacks in 2021. That honor will go to Dre’Mont Jones instead.

Jones notched 6.5 sacks in 13 games last season as an outside linebacker in Fangio’s defensive scheme. The conventional wisdom believes his snap total will drop once Miller returns to full health. The reality is that Jones’ ability to stop the run and rush the passer is going to make it difficult for the Broncos coaching staff to pull him off the field.

The fact that Jones checks in just north of 280 pounds gives him the power to win battles against offensive lineman at the point of attack. He’s not a classic speed guy off the edge, but he’s got just enough wiggle to prevent tackles from focusing purely on his power moves.

Jones might not break the double-digit sack market in 2021 but he’s going to do just enough to be his team’s top sack artist. 8 or 9 should be enough to get that done for the former Ohio State standout.
