3. Frank Clark will notch double-digit sacks

If the Chiefs want their defense to take a big step forward in 2021 they need to do a much better job of pressuring the opposing quarterback. Specifically, they need Clark to step up and be a menace on the outside.

Kansas City is paying him entirely too much money to only produce six sacks as he did a season ago. He lacks the elite burst to dominate opposing tackles, but he does have a nice combination of power and technique from the edge.

Chiefs fans should look for him to have a solid bounceback season after his disappointing 2020 campaign. He’s not going to lead the NFL in sacks, but he should be able to come close to doubling his production.

Set 10 sacks as the proper over/under for the talented defensive end this season. The Chiefs are going to give him plenty of chances to sack opposing passers trying to stay in shootouts with Mahomes. It’s time for Clark to cash more of those opportunities in.
