Broncos: Mark Schlereth keeps burying Jets fans on Twitter with ruthless aggression (Video)
By John Buhler
Former Denver Broncos guard Mark Schlereth is back at it again with New York Jets fans.
Apparently, New York York Jets fans were not a fan of the gospel spoken by former Denver Broncos standout Mark Schlereth over the weekend.
On Friday, Schlereth appeared on The Pat McAfee Show and basically suggested the Jets organization has no earthly idea what it is doing at any given point in time. New York has the NFL‘s longest active playoff drought of over a decade. While Schlereth’s Broncos haven’t been to the playoffs since winning Super Bowl 50, he made an incredible “apology video” over the weekend.
Despite rocking his 1998 Broncos Ridell helmet and his three Super Bowl rings he won on the middle three fingers of his right hand, Jets fans attacked Stink ferociously on Twitter in the days to follow. Well, guess what? Schlereth was not amused and made a second video directed towards Jets fans on Wednesday morning. In short, when Stink says you stink, then you probably stink.
Denver Broncos: Mark Schlereth vs. New York Jets fans is amazing video content
Jets fans went after Schlereth by saying the Broncos haven’t won anything since 2015 and haven’t had a competent quarterback since Peyton Manning retired. If that isn’t calling the kettle black, what is? The Jets haven’t had a hall-of-fame-level quarterback since Joe Namath. Although the Broncos have missed the playoffs each of the last five years, the Jets have not been there in 10.
Even though Schlereth’s second video to Jets fans was mostly mean-spirited, the truth hurts. Everybody and their brother in the NFL world would love to see the second team in the biggest city in America be great with any regularity because the Jets have a large and passionate fanbase and capitalism is king. But with that in mind, the Jets will remain the Jets because they’re the Jets.
Schlereth vs. Jets fans on social media is the offseason content we did not know we needed.
