2. Add a pass rusher

Kansas City recorded 32 sacks last season. Of those, 7.5 came from Chris Jones and 6.0 came from Frank Clark. The addition of Jarran Reed is going to help, but that’s not enough to say that the pass rush is solidified.

In a deep offensive tackle class, Kansas City could find their next left tackle of the future in Round 2. Georgia’s Azeez Ojulari might be one of the best pure pass-rushers in the game coming from the SEC. The same argument could be made for Miami’s Gregory Rousseau, whose draft stock has taken a tumble following his choice to opt out due to COVID-19.

As much as the edge class as a whole is not that great, the minor needs Kansas City must address allows them to somewhat reach on a player. Both should be in line for the Chiefs when they’re on the clock, as should any pass-rusher going into the second and third rounds.
