108. Trade Value: A-. player. Outfielder. Charlie Blackmon. 2. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis

Charlie Blackmon is a former second-round pick of the Rockies who made his MLB debut in 2011. Seeing him play elsewhere would just feel weird at this point.

But Blackmon will turn 35 years old in July. The Rockies should prefer to get some younger players in the outfield in place of the aging veteran.

Blackmon is a four-time All-Star with a career .861 OPS. He is off to an ugly start in 2021, but that should not be a cause for concern. The only thing possibly preventing an easy trade is the fact he has player options in 2022 and 2023. The one in 2022 is worth over $21 million, which may be high for most teams given Blackmon’s age.

He is still someone that should be moved sooner than later, if possible, to allow the Rockies to enter a new era. Blackmon probably saw the writing on the wall the moment Arenado was sent packing to St. Louis. The same is true for the final player on this list.
