2. James Carpenter

The Falcons parted ways with James Carpenter in early March in a move to create cap space. He was part of a line that 89 sacks of Matt Ryan over the last two seasons, so Carpenter’s time in Atlanta wasn’t his best stretch.

The former No. 25 overall pick of the Seahawks still has value to give as a left guard. He’s started 121 games across his 10 years in the league. A team in the market for a starter or competition at guard could take a look his way.

How long that will take is another story.

1. Reuben Foster

Are Reuben Foster’s days in the NFL over?

Foster hasn’t played since 2018 when he suited up for six games with the 49ers before they released him because of allegations of domestic violence.

It’s been a long road since then.

He signed with the Redskins and spent time on the commissioner’s exempt list until 2019. Just when he was cleared to return to the game, he tore his ACL in practice and missed the season. An attempt to come back in 2020 was ended by nerve damage in his foot.

Foster’s potential on the field has always been clear, but he’s now battling to come back from some serious injury problems. His future definitely isn’t with Washington. He needs to convince another team to take a chance on him despite the past legal woes and injury problems.
