2. Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah

Owusu-Koromoah’s fall all the way to No. 52 caught many draft experts by surprise. The tumble was later reported to be a result of concerns over a potential heart issue. Clearly, the Browns’ medical staff believes that won’t be an issue for the player moving forward.

Assuming his medicals check out, landing the versatile linebacker in Round 2 should prove to be a steal for Cleveland. He’s just the sort of explosive player that NFL players covet for the second level of their respective defenses. Owusu-Koramoah should be an immediate plus run-defender and he’s got a chance to develop into an interesting blitz option in time.

The former Notre Dame star will also benefit from not being thrust into a starting role immediately. The Browns have quality linebacker in front of him on the depth chart. That will give him a solid chance to learn the intricacies of their defensive system before he’s thrust into a major role.

The end result should be Owusu-Koramoah emerging as a key player on Cleveland’s defense by the time the postseason rolls around. Browns fans will love the speed he plays with and the havoc he can wreak on opposing offenses. It’s just a matter of time before he becomes an impact player for Kevin Stefanski and his coaching staff.
