New England Patriots 2021 schedule predictions: Picking every game
By John Buhler
The New England Patriots 2021 schedule affords them the shot to get back into the playoffs.
After winning the AFC East pretty much annually for the entirety of the 21st century, the 2020 New England Patriots missed out on the AFC Playoffs.
New England devolved into sweet, delicious Jeff Fisher 7-9 B.S. But because of that, the Patriots have a navigable third-place schedule in 2021. The Patriots play the AFC South and the NFC South in their entirety, along with their annual slate of six AFC East games. Their three competitive balance games are the Cleveland Browns, the Dallas Cowboys and the Los Angeles Chargers.
Here is how the Patriots could perform with their 2021 regular-season schedule.
New England Patriots 2021 schedule predictions: Wins and losses
With their inter-conference competitive balance game with the Cowboys being at Gillette Stadium this year, the Patriots will have nine home games. Not only that, but they make an absolute killing with their nine-game home slate, as the Patriots go 8-1 in Foxborough. However, their one loss is to the team Bill Belichick wanted to beat more than anyone: Tom Brady’s Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Conversely, the Patriots drop a handful of games on the road, going a sub-par 3-5 away from home. Their only three road wins are at the Carolina Panthers, at the Houston Texans and at the division rival New York Jets. While they could have broken the Atlanta Falcons’ hearts yet again, Belichick realizes these aren’t the same sorry Dan Quinn Dirty Birds anymore with Arthur Smith.
