Washington Capitals defenseman Zdeno Chara took a scary fall before the team’s Game 3 matchup with the Boston Bruins.
Chara, of course, spent the majority of his career playing with Boston.
On Wednesday night, the veteran d-man took a spill on the ice, and remained there for several seconds before eventually getting to his feet.
Chara’s impact on Washington’s defensive core has been immense this season, as he’s a veteran presence with playoff experience the Caps can count on.
At 6-foot-9 and 250 pounds, Chara does not go down easily, making this moment all the more concerning for Cap fans already worried about their team heading into a pivotal Game 3. The series is currently tied at one game apiece.
