Chris Weinke might have seemed like Grandpa to his Seminole teammates since he joined them after six years in the Toronto Blue Jays organization. Weinke proved that he still had it on the gridiron, throwing for over 9,800 yards with 79 touchdowns. He won the 2000 Heisman Trophy along with the Danny O’Brien and Johnny Unitas Awards.

Jameis Winston’s two years in Tallahassee were certainly exciting. Almost 8,000 yards passing with 65 touchdowns. He led the nation in passing yards and efficiency in addition to his conference in completions, touchdowns and passing percentage. In 2013 he was an All-American while winning the Heisman, Walter Camp and Davey O’Brien Awards in addition to the National Championship.

Charlie Ward was an outstanding two-sport athlete as a Seminole and played in the NBA instead of the NFL. On the football field, he won it all in 1993. As an All-American, he won the Heisman, Walter Camp, Maxwell, Manning and Johnny Unitas Awards. Oh, and the National Championship. Ward is a member of the College Football Hall of Fame.

The Seminole trio passed for over 23,000 yards with 193 touchdowns, three Heisman Trophies, two National Championships and one induction into the College Football Hall of Fame.
