Veteran guard Danny Green is the latest player nf the Philadelphia 76ers to call out Ben Simmons in a public fashion.

It’s been a rough few weeks for Philadelphia 76ers standout Ben Simmons. After the team suffered a heartbreaking Game 7 loss to the Atlanta Hawks in the Eastern Conference semifinals, fans have turned a bit on Simmons.

No one has stopped talking about his mental blunder late in the game near the bucket. Joel Embiid didn’t hesitate in putting Simmons on blast for that error, clearly saying it had a negative impact on how things went down. Now, you can add Danny Green to the list of players who are calling for Simmons to do more when he’s on the hardwood.

Danny Green’s latest comments won’t please Ben Simmons

Green really did not hold back with that quote above. For him to basically say that Simmons won’t go out and push himself unless he’s encouraged or told to do so has to be rough to see for the Philadelphia supporters.

Green, who has been in the NBA since 2009, is throwing some shade at him here. Simmons is a high-flyer and really can create magic when he’s on top of his game. With that said, he struggled at times during the postseason. There was even a moment where Philly fans posted a ‘missing person’ flyer of him in the city.

Now, rumors continue to swirl that Simmons could be traded at some point this offseason. You know he’s not happy right now, especially after Embiid and Green have let him know how they feel. Only time will tell if Simmons dons a 76ers jersey next campaign, but it wouldn’t be a stunner whatsoever if he plays ball elsewhere.
