Los Angeles Lakers fan Snoop Dogg explained why he’s totally okay with the Lakers not competing for the championship this year.

It was a disappointing end to the season for the Los Angeles Lakers who failed in their attempt to repeat as NBA champions. Injuries took their toll on the Lakers with LeBron James missing extensive time down the stretch and playing at less than 100 percent in the playoffs. The biggest injury was to Anthony Davis who was hurt in the first round vs. the Phoenix Suns, missed time, returned but had to quickly leave after reaggravating his groin injury.

Despite the Lakers not in a position to win the NBA Finals this season, long-time Lakers fan, Snoop Dogg, said he’s at peace with the Lakers not winning it all this season. And he expressed his position in typical Snoop fashion.

Snoop Dogg explains why he’s okay with the Lakers playoff failure

In comments to TMZ, Snoop dragged the rest of the NBA while acknowledging it’s okay if the Lakers don’t win it every season.

“I want to see somebody win a championship other than the Lakers because we just keep winning them and winning them, so.”

Snoop Dogg makes NBA Finals prediction

The Suns hold a 2-0 series lead over the Milwaukee Bucks with Game 4 on Sunday night. While many Suns fans think a sweep could be in order, Snoop is stopping short of that until the Bucks host a home game or two, but does think it’s the Suns’ championship to lose.

“I don’t know about sweeping, but I think they may win it. I’m happy for Chris Paul and Booker. And Monty Williams too.”

If the Suns win it all, at least the Lakers can say they lost to the team that won it all and they’ll have the built-in excuse that if they weren’t so banged up, they may have won it all after all.
