2. Raisel Iglesias

Next up on the list, could we see a trade between AL West rivals go down? Don’t rule that out, as the Los Angeles Angels feature stud reliever Raisel Iglesias. The hard-throwing righty is also in the middle of a nice year, as he owns a 3.44 ERA coming out of the ‘pen.

What’s so great about Iglesias too is his versatility, as he has experience as a closer and a set-up man. This would be a perfect fit for the Astros. The only thing that might make things difficult here is that you don’t see teams in the same division trade all that often.

However, it’s getting a point in the summer where the Angels might have to face the facts that they’re not going to be able to make the postseason, leading them to become sellers. You better believe Houston would come calling if Iglesias is available.

With Iglesias, he’s out of contract at the end of the year. So if anything, Houston would be trying to acquire him just for the next couple of months. Because of his contract, Iglesias may not be overly expensive for Houston. The Astros need to pick up the phone here and call LA.
