Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry congratulated Lionel Messi after officially signing with Paris Saint-Germain.

In the midst of the NBA offseason, the story that has dominated the sports world was the shocking announcement that soccer star Lionel Messi was leaving FC Barcelona. Messi did not waste any time finding a new team, as he signed on with Paris Saint-Germain on Tuesday.

Shortly after the announcement was made by Messi’s new team, Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry congratulated the soccer star and stated that he had good taste. Of course, Curry is pointing out Messi switching from the No. 10 with Barcelona to No. 30 with PSG.

Yeah, Curry seems to be very happy that he and Messi both share the same jersey number. Who wouldn’t be?

Over a month ago, Messi had agreed to terms with Barcelona on a new contract. Yet, things fell through and it was announced by the soccer club that Messi will not return. That led to a farewell press conference this past weekend where Messi was overcome with emotion and in tears.

On Tuesday, Paris Saint-Germain officially announced the signing of Messi. The star signed a two-year contract with the club, which includes an option for a third year.

As for why Messi made the switch to No. 30, that is because his old number is currently worn by PSG teammate Neymar.

While Messi did make many memories wearing the No. 10 for Barcelona, he will look to make some more history with his brand new team and new number.
