4. Phil Foden

Over on the other side of town, Manchester City also has quite the young superstar in 21-year-old midfielder Phil Foden. Make no mistake about it, Foden is without question the most exciting young player for the reigning English Premier League champions.

Under the tutelage of the brilliant Pep Guardiola, Foden took a monster step last season and really played a big role in the EPL giants taking home their third league title in the past four years. Things only got better for Foden with his strong showing at the Euros, helping England make it to the final.

What’s in store for him this season? While City fans are ecstatic about the arrival of Jack Grealish, remember just how sensational Foden is with the ball at his feet. Last campaign, there were so many different matches where he came off the bench for Guardiola and immediately sparked the team.

While he’s known for great passes, Foden also can shock you with a long-distance strike as well. He’s got quite the left boot. In order for City to have a legitimate shot at repeating as Premier League champs, they’ll need Foden to showcase his skills in the best way possible. He really is quite the talent.
