With the English Premier League returning this weekend, there are several young players that soccer fans will want to keep a close eye on throughout the campaign.

While English Premier League fans can’t wait to see veterans like Paul Pogba, Kevin De Bruyne, Romelu Lukaku, Harry Kane and others in action this season, don’t forget about the young guns putting on their boots too.

The EPL is absolutely loaded with young talent, with countless guys ready to put on a show. In this piece, we zone in on five of those guys, with the list of course including Manchester United speedster Mason Greenwood.

5. Mason Greenwood

Manchester United supporters are more than familiar with Mason Greenwood. The fantastic forward has provided fans with countless great memories at Old Trafford. Of course, no one will ever forget when he made his starting debut in an Europa League showdown in 2019.

In that game, Greenwood, 19, found the back of the net and became the youngest scorer in the tourney’s history at just 17 years, 353 days old. Talk about quite the memory leading up to your 18th birthday.

Things have only gotten better for Greenwood since, as he’s seeing more and more action for the club. What makes Greenwood such a special player is that he’s able to score with either his left or right foot. No one has forgotten about his right-footed beauty to seal the points against Tottenham last season.

Looking ahead to this campaign, Greenwood will be ready to make even more noise for the team. Greenwood will no doubt be a player to watch throughout the season. This really could be his breakout campaign for the Red Devils, a club looking for their first trophy since 2017.
