Soccer fans troll Harry Kane for Manchester City interest amid awkward encounter
By Mark Powell
Manchester City have made countless runs at Harry Kane over the summer, and fans are very aware of that interest as City faces Tottenham on Sunday.
City put the most expensive team in Premier League history on the pitch against Tottenham on Sunday, and they’re looking to add to it in a big way.
Whether realistic or not, City are interested in adding Harry Kane to their starting 11. Ironically enough, Kane sat out for Spurs against City due to a lack of fitness, so he wasn’t even available to answer to said rumors with his own two feet.
“Harry needs to work, he worked today and he will keep on working until he is ready for the team,” Tottenham head coach Nuno Espirito Santo told Sky Sports. “Players that not had many sessions working with us, it is a different case with Bryan (Gil) because he was at the Olympic Games, also (Cristian) Romero, but I think for them it is important to be here to see the stadium, the hotel, the meeting, to see all the process we have, it is important.”
Manchester City Rumors: Soccer fans trolled Harry Kane for City interest
Tottenham can very well afford to hold onto Kane, but as is always the case when Man City have their eyes on a player, the price tag may be tough to turn down. Spurs could receive a large sum of money from City, as the Man City board preparing a new bid for €150 million, per Fabrizio Romano.
Soccer fans let Kane have it as the two sides met on Sunday.
What a wild experience for Kane — watching his current squad play perhaps his future team on the pitch. For his sake, we can only hope this awkward experience is resolved in the coming days.
