2. Isaiah Thomas

While we did mention why the 81-point Pro Am scoring vet would be a great asset to the Lakers organization in an earlier article, there are a few reasons why he wouldn’t be a good fit for them.

Isaiah Thomas’ injury was a serious detriment to his career. This could be a potential risk if they were to sign him. What if that injury comes back to haunt him again? On a team with title aspirations, having available depth matters.

It could be a serious risk to take, especially when the expectation is high. It’s not saying that the former NBA star can’t make it back to the league, but maybe not with a team like the Lakers that has so much at stake, especially when he’s no longer the high-scoring star he once was.
