Jordan Berry. Pick Analysis. P. Pittsburgh Steelers. 55. Scouting Report. 2.. player

Jordan Berry has been a punter for the Steelers since signing as an undrafted free agent in 2015. Berry has had his ups and downs, and he received a wakeup call from the front office during the NFL Draft. With their seventh-round selection in the 2021 NFL Draft, the Steelers picked Georgia Tech punter Pressley Harvin.

The rookie punter is known for his unreal punting power in college, and he showcased his abilities in the Hall of Fame Game against the Dallas Cowboys. Yet, Berry stepped up during the preseason when the Steelers faced the Philadelphia Eagles last week.

Even though Berry is certainly making this a fight, he could end up on the chopping block just before the start of the season.

Pick Analysis. Pittsburgh Steelers. Jaylen Samuels. player. 55. Scouting Report. RB. 1.

The running back room in Pittsburgh is a crowded one. After owning the worst rushing attack in the NFL last year, the Steelers addressed it by selecting Alabama’s Najee Harris with their first-round selection. Harris will be the starting running back for Pittsburgh’s Week 1 matchup against the Buffalo Bills, there is no doubt about that.

Bu, what about the rest of the depth chart? If there is one running back on the outside looking in, it may very well be Jaylen Samuels.

Samuels played in 42 games through his first three seasons in the NFL, where he rushed for 459 yards and one touchdown on 131 carries and caught 82-of-100 targets for 550 yards and four touchdowns.

Yes, there have been questions surrounding Benny Snell and his status with the team. But it is hard to see the Steelers giving up on him ahead of the regular-season opener. Not to mention that the team saw Anthony McFarland Jr. and free agent acquisition Kalen Ballage perform quite well in the preseason.

There are only so many spots available, and Samuel may be left out.
