Vikings robbed by refs on Dalvin Cook fumble when he was clearly down (Video)

NFL officials are paid adequately to make the right call on the field. Yet, when they do screw up, a replay system is in place. It didn’t help the Vikings on Sunday.
Minnesota running back Dalvin Cook “fumbled” in overtime, giving the Bengals the ball in a game they would eventually lose on that very drive.
If that isn’t the definition of robbery, I don’t know what is.
The replay appears to show Cook’s butt down on the play. Yet, because the on-field call was a fumble, New York evidently didn’t have enough evidence to overturn it.
You can’t make this stuff up.
Vikings fans are furious, and they have every right to be.
Vikings fall short on the road against Cincinnati Bengals
Sure, the Vikings had every opportunity to make a stop after said call, but asking the defense to continuously come up huge late in the fifth quarter of football is a lot.
Also, Minnesota may have scored on that very drive. Instead, the officials robbed Cook, Kirk Cousins and Co. of that opportunity.
Minnesota has plenty of holes, that much is certain after their struggles in Cincy. But had they been able to come away 1-0 despite those issues, surely there’d be more to take away from such a performance.
Instead, said loss could cost them come season’s end.
