The Denver Broncos lose wide receiver Jerry Jeudy to a devastating ankle injury in Week 1.

You hate to see it, but it looked like season over for Denver Broncos wide receiver Jerry Jeudy.

In a tight ballgame in the late-afternoon window vs. the New York Giants, the former first-round pick out of Alabama look to suffer the same injury Dak Prescott did a season ago vs. the G-Men. He had to be carted off the field, and there was no way he was going to be playing for the rest of the year. In a critical season for Vic Fangio and the Broncos, this was absolutely devastating.

If you have a sensitive stomach, you might want to look away from the highlight of Jeudy’s injury.

Jerry Jeudy injury update: Carted off the field vs. New York Giants in Week 1

Not long after he was carted off the field, Tom Pelissero of the NFL Network reported that it was a high ankle sprain for Jeudy and the x-rays were negative. The fact that Jeudy did not break his ankle on this tackle is incredible news for the Broncos. He will be out for a few weeks for sure, but we should expect him to return to the Denver roster at some point later on during the NFL season.

Broncos Country can breathe a sigh of relief on the best news possible, regarding Jeudy’s injury.
