Daniel Jones might’ve made the worst throw of the NFL season (Video)

New York Giants starting quarterback Daniel Jones did not sell any of his doubters on his abilities following a brutal throw on Thursday night against the Washington Football Team.
The New York Giants spent a ton of money this offseason on free agents to help them make a push for a playoff berth. Even with those moves, the team’s success hinges on the play of quarterback Daniel Jones, who has shown flashes of brilliance that are overshadowed by his turnover issues in his first two years with the team.
During Thursday’s game against the Washington Football Team, Jones showed some athleticism on the run in the first half. But, he also had this very bad throw when attempting to hit a wide open Kenny Golladay.
Daniel Jones may have the worst throw of the NFL season thus far
This play certainly won’t change the minds of those who do not feel that Jones is the right guy to lead the Giants for the foreseeable future.
Jones entered the league under much scrutiny after New York selected him with the sixth-overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft. He has shown the ability to be a quality starting quarterback throughout his first two seasons, but his propensity of turning the ball over has doomed himself and the team. That was evident in the team’s Week 1 matchup against the Denver Broncos.
With the Giants trailing 17-7 in the third quarter, Jones led the offense down the field. But on a running play, Jones fumbled the ball, allowing the Broncos retake possession and further pull away from New York, which they did.
This is a make or break season for Jones, where he simply has to show more good than bad, especially with a fifth-year option decision looming.
