10 QB sleepers to target for fantasy football 2021 Week 2

Derek Carr vs. Pittsburgh Steelers

So by now, we should all know the story of the Las Vegas Raiders on Monday night, as they hosted the Baltimore Ravens and came back from 14-0 down to win the game. In the first half, starting quarterback Derek Carr looked terrible, focusing only on Darren Waller, and almost looking jumpy in the pocket.

However, once he started getting everyone involved, he went off, leading the NFL in passing yards during the Week 1 slate. He has a ton of weapons on offense, including Waller, and he finally has a defense that can get him the ball back in good field position, as they forced a few turnovers as well.

Sunday, the Raiders go East to take on the Pittsburgh Steelers, which may seem like a lot, but they have been practicing very early all summer long. Pittsburgh has a great defense, and all signs point to the Raiders offense struggling in this one, but Carr looks like he is on a mission this season, and he could be available this week.

Tyrod Taylor vs. Cleveland Browns

One of the bigger surprises of the Week 1 slate was how well the Houston Texans played against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Sure, the Jaguars were not expected to be a great team this season, but the Texans were supposed to be terrible, something they certainly were not.

Led by quarterback Tyrod Taylor, the Texans offense was able to do whatever they wanted against Jacksonville, and while their Week 2 opponent is tougher, Taylor should be in for another good game. Last week, Patrick Mahomes dominated the Cleveland Browns defense, and though Houston is nowhere near the team that the Chiefs are, the Browns’ defense has some holes.

Now, I do not expect Taylor to put up the numbers he did against Jacksonville, but this game could go two ways. Either Taylor plays outstanding again, putting Houston in position for the upset, or Cleveland pounds Houston, in which the Texans will have to go to the air early and often. Either way, Taylor is a sound play.
