College football picks against the spread for Week 3: No. 10-6

Tulsa at 9 Ohio State (-24.5) – Over 61.0

I legitimately feel bad for what’s going to happen to the Golden Hurricane this week. While there is still concern about Ohio State’s defense, that just makes the over an obvious play. All told, the Buckeyes are going to almost hit that point total singlehandedly and try to make a statement to bounce back from the loss to Oregon.

8 Cincinnati at Indiana (+4) – Under 49.5

This is going to be a rock fight and, despite how vaunted the Cincinnati defense is, they don’t have the same caliber of athletes in the trenches as the Hoosiers. Expect to be sweating this one out but the Indiana defensive line should dominate this game and push the home Hoosiers to an outright victory.

New Mexico at 7 Texas A&M (-29.5) – Under 50.0

The fact that Zach Calzada, who looked pretty abysmal against Colorado, is starting for Texas A&M doesn’t make me feel great here. But the Aggies should be able to run the ball at will and slow the game down. Furthermore, New Mexico has a pretty good chance of not sniffing the end zone in this game, hence the under play.

Georgia Tech at 6 Clemson (-28.0) – Under 52.0

Dabo Swinney could definitely run up the score in this game but that hasn’t necessarily been his M.O. at Clemson. That said, the backups should play early in this one for the Tigers as Georgia Tech was rebuilding, to begin with and has now been forced to deal with key injuries. This one will never be in doubt but the Clemson second-stringers will slow the offense to keep the under in play.
