7. Nyheim Hines, Indianapolis Colts

Jonathan Taylor is clearly THE guy in Indianapolis, but there was a chemistry between Carson Wentz and Nyheim Hines that can’t be denied. He was targeted eight times and caught six passes for 48 yards. He got more than 10 points on receiving alone. There is a reason that the Colts made him one of the highest-paid running backs in the league. They want to use him.

Taylor is the guy to play in this Colts backfield, but Hines has value as well. His receiving makes him a good floor if you’re a Mostert owner who needs to start someone. He also got nine carries in Week 1, showing the Colts want to make this work. The Rams might take an early lead, and the Colts might have to avoid the run game. However, that still keeps Hines as a passing option.

6. Kareem Hunt, Cleveland Browns

Here’s another second option, but Kareem Hunt is unlike any other second option in the league. He would start on about half the teams in the NFL, but he’s behind Nick Chubb. He got six carries and one went for a touchdown. He also caught all three of his targets. If the game went a little more normal than the Browns game against the Chiefs, Hunt probably would have had more normal production, but nobody is mad with 15 points in a PPR league.

The Browns are taking on the Texans this week. Don’t let last week’s win against the Jaguars fool you, this is still a bad team. The Browns should take an early lead and learn from last week’s mistakes by holding it. Hunt will help them by being a checkdown on passing downs and rushing the ball when needed. It should be a nice week for him.
