3. Top fantasy football pickups for Week 5 – Bills TE Dawson Knox

Finding a reliable tight end in fantasy football is a very difficult task since the position is often a weekly dart throw. When one of the few consistent point producers gets hurt, like Rob Gronkowski did for Tampa Bay last week, it adds more uncertainty to teams in need of tight end help.

One player who should be rostered at a significantly higher percentage is Buffalo’s Dawson Knox, who has become a preferred red zone target for Josh Allen. Knox hit paydirt twice against the Houston Texans in Week 4, catching 5-of-8 targets for 37 yards as well.

Allen has connected with Knox for touchdowns in three straight weeks, which is a preferable way to get points from the tight end spot since many of them aren’t the focal point of their offenses. Buffalo has plenty of talented skill players, including Stefon Diggs and Emmanuel Sanders (who was last week’s top fantasy pickup), but Allen has clearly made it a point to get Knox down near the goal line.

Rostered in 47 percent of Yahoo leagues, Knox should be on a lot more rosters as a potential TE1 with the potential to score a touchdown every week. Knox has favorable matchups against Kansas City and Tennessee in the next two weeks and has an excellent chance to keep his scoring streak alive.
