Finding and exploiting favorable matchups in fantasy football can win you your week. Whether it’s season-long leagues or daily fantasy lineups, matchup-based decisions can be important.

When figuring out who to start in a regular fantasy league or in a daily fantasy lineup, I usually look at two things: volume and matchups. If a player’s volume has been consistent enough on a weekly basis and they are playing a team that struggles against their position or skillset, they’re usually a good start.

There are plenty of guys like that in Week 5, but we’re going to narrow them down to the best of the best. Regardless of what fantasy format you play, keep an eye on these matchups.

5. TE Dawson Knox vs. the Kansas City Chiefs

Not only do the Chiefs struggle against tight ends, they seemingly struggle against everyone on defense, which is great news for the Bills’ passing attack in Week 5.

Dawson Knox has quietly become a dependable target for the Bills’ offense. He’s caught 15-of-20 targets for 144 yards and 4 touchdowns through four games. That puts him at a touchdown per game, and in a projected shootout against the Chiefs who hemorrhage offensive stats to opposing teams, Knox is a solid play at a relatively weak position group.

Take a top-10 finish for Knox to the bank this week if you have him in your league or if you’re looking for a cheaper tight end option in your daily lineup.
