5 bold predictions for Vikings against Lions
By Josie Rohach
3. The Vikings will score at least 40 points
Though Zimmer is known for his defense, it’s the Vikings offense that has shined this season and kept Minnesota in games. Cousins and company had a tough outing last week against the stingy Cleveland defense, but they will bounce back hard from a lifeless seven point performance.
Cousins plays better when he’s angry, and he has to be frustrated after throwing his first interception of the season last week. Receiver Adam Thielen also must be looking for revenge after getting shut out of the end zone for the first time since the season started.
Thielen hasn’t seen consecutive scoreless games since playing Green Bay and Detroit last season, which just adds extra fuel to the fire. Look for Cousins to find Theilen multiple times for a touchdown in a game with trilling offensive production.
