Bold Prediction #4: Expect another big week from Trevor Lawrence

It was a rough week for the Jacksonville Jaguars. After coming as close as they have to a win all season, they lost on national television to the Cincinnati Bengals. Then, Urban Meyer was the talk of the town. Not because of his awesome offensive scheme or a rousing locker room speech, but because of his extracurriculars after the game. The Jaguars need a distraction from their distraction.

Jacksonville heads home to face a Tennessee Titans team that just gave the Jets their first win of the season. They made Zach Wilson look serviceable, so Trevor Lawrence hopefully was watching that matchup intently.

Lawrence had a volatile first week (three touchdowns and three interceptions), but then he was absolutely awful in Weeks 2 and 3. A bounce-back last week could be a sign of things to come. Meyer’s game plan was a little too conservative last week which allowed the Bengals to come back. James Robinson was a monster, so it’s no surprise he kept at him, but the Jaguars have had 10 days to prepare for the Titans. Tennessee is still recovering over losing to the Jets.

Lawrence is missing D.J. Chark, which hurts, but the extra time this week will help build a game plan around moving the ball in other ways. Marvin Jones has looked good at times, Dan Arnold really fits well in this offense, and the running backs could provide some pass catching to make this a better offense. All that means Lawrence should have a big week.
