2. NFL teams on upset alert in Week 5 – Tennessee Titans

Another Week 4 upset victim that finds itself in trouble again is Tennessee, which put forth a bad effort in a 27-24 overtime loss to the Jets. The offensive line was a major problem for the Titans, allowing a ton of pressure on quarterback Ryan Tannehill, who was sacked seven times in the game.

The Titans also dealt with some injury absences on the offensive end as both A.J. Brown and Julio Jones had to miss the game. Not having either of their top wide receivers turned Tennessee’s passing attack into a non-starter, forcing the offense to rely heavily on screens and the rushing game.

It isn’t clear yet if the Titans will have either of their top receivers available for Week 5’s trip to Jacksonville to take on the 0-4 Jaguars. There has been a lot of turmoil in Jacksonville thanks to controversial actions from head coach Urban Meyer but the Jaguars did play well in a loss to Cincinnati in Week 4.

The oddsmakers have set Tennessee as a four-point road favorite but the injury issues they’ve had along with the shaky offensive line performance leave them vulnerable to an upset. Jacksonville is also desperate for its first win and had three extra days to prepare for this game since their Week 4 matchup came on a Thursday, setting up a potentially dangerous game for the Titans to navigate here.
