4. Derek Carr bounces back with a 300-yard passing performance vs. Bears

While he did not play horrendously, Monday Night Football vs. the Chargers was still Derek Carr’s worst game of the season. Though he completed 61.8 percent of his passes vs. the Bolts, he only went for 196 yards through the air. He had been well over 300 in each of the Raiders’ three previous games. His yards per attempt of 5.76 was dreadful and not akin to winning football.

So will Jon Gruden let Carr air it out vs. a strong Chicago defense? Let’s hope so. All he is really going to need is one deep-ball connection with Henry Ruggs III to pay dirt to potentially break this one open. For all intents and purposes, the first team to 21 points on Sunday afternoon is poised to come out of Allegiant Stadium with a Week 5 victory, so why not it be the Raiders this week?

Though we should not expect Carr to complete over 75 percent of his passes like he did vs. the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 2, he should have his second game of completing over 65 percent of his passes on the season vs. the Bears. If he has somewhere around 25 completions, Carr should have no issue breaking the 300-yard passing threshold for the fourth time in five games this year.

The Raiders have won all three of their games this season in which Carr throws for over 300 yards.
