Daniel Norris

The Brewers, looking to bolster their pitching depth for the second half of the season, decided to give Daniel Norris a chance by acquiring him at the trade deadline.

He had started off the campaign with the Detroit Tigers, where he held a 5.89 ERA and 1.45 WHIP through 38 appearances. Certainly, he would put up better numbers with a postseason contender like the Brewers, right?

Norris’ stint with Milwaukee did not go as planned. Out of the bullpen, the left-hander recorded a 6.64 ERA, a 1.57 WHIP, 18 strikeouts and 15 walks over 20.1 innings of work (18 games). Norris was not part of the Brewers’ NLDS roster.

Taking all of that into consideration, it is unlikely that Norris receives an extended stay in Milwaukee after this season.
