Wide Receivers

Davante Adams, Green Bay Packers at Chicago Bears-$8,500

Over the last three games, Adams has been targeted by Aaron Rodgers 45 times with more than 15 targets and double-digit catches twice. He’s inarguably the most bankable wide receiver in fantasy football, and there’s no putting Tyreek Hill in that conversation right now.

It’s also a pretty good matchup for Adams in Week 6, as the Chicago Bears are allowing the 10th-most fantasy points to wide receivers (Yahoo! 0.5-point PPR). If not for facing the lesser receiving corps of the Detroit Lions and Las Vegas Raiders in their last two games, they’d be worse against wide receivers.

Adams is matchup-proof in any fantasy format. I’ll gladly pay up for him on FanDuel this week.

Tim Patrick, Denver Broncos vs. Las Vegas Raiders-$6,100

Patrick posted season-highs in catches (seven), targets (nine) and yards (89) in Week 5 against the Pittsburgh Steelers. He has posted more than 12.5 full PPR points in four of five games this season, with the only exception Week 4 when Teddy Bridgewater left with a concussion.

Week 6 brings a matchup against what promises to be a reeling Las Vegas Raiders team, who also have an injury-thinned secondary with multiple corners on IR.

I almost went with fellow Broncos wide receiver Courtland Sutton here, and he would fit in this lineup at $6,600. But Patrick has been more consistent, so he gets the nod.

Michael Pittman, Indianapolis Colts vs. Houston Texans-$5,800

Since a Week 1 dud (three catches for 29 yards), the season-long breakout train for Pittman has been moving better. He has at least seven targets and six catches in four straight games, with over 60 yards in three of those. He also got his first touchdown of the season in Week 5.

The Texans have not been a bad fantasy defense against wide receivers. But they’re also toward the bottom in targets ceded to the position (92; 18.4 per game), and everything else that looks good is rooted there.

A Wentz-Pittman stack is certainly a contrarian FanDuel stack, in this or any week. But the value to profit equation stands out.
